I'll say that PPC is a short term return. SEO is on the long run...

depends on your site, i would say. If you are selling product online, go for PayPer Click as they will lead users right to the selling page.

Whereas for general content, spending on SEO is the best way to go. For example my game sites has been very successful in term of SEO. *getting inbound links*

For newish sites that are affiliate based I always start with ppc, then the money I make i use to buy links slowly to achieve ranking in the search engines.

PPC is also great for helping with SEO work aswell...as you get to find out the nitty gritty keywords that people are actually searching for which can save alot in terms of money and time spent.

Well it depends how you do your SEO. If you don't buy links and write your own content then the only factor is time I think, but if your buying content and links than it could be a lesser roi then ppc depending on pricing and traffic driven from keyword.

I believe that you test the market with PPC, then use SEO for the long term. Trying to "test" with SEO is very difficult. Testing with PPC can be fairly controlled.

It would depend on your time line. In 1 year or less PPC. If you have a long term goal, and no cashflow issues the best ROI will be SEO. You can mix up two to fit your needs.

Just to think of ROI, PPC may be better in many cases unless you can be top 5. But all in all, it really depends on what your niche and how competitive it is.

Like someone said, PPC may be good for a short term ROI. I would suggest that you should do both. That's probably the best.

I would suggest using SEO to target achievable long-tail keywords and PPC to get clicks from the more specific keywords which you would be unlikely to rank highly for straight away.

It really depends. PPC is a short term option to bringing you traffic, while search engine is more of a long term traffic. However, you never know what is going to happen, as Google constantly changes its rules.

I think, both are necessary for a website success, if you just make a fast search in some very hot terms and fields, you can easily see that the websites, that are already among the top ten Google rankings, are still spending thousands on PPC.

The reason is very clear, PPC in many websites is very specifically targetted, for example, suppose you are surfing through the pages of an online gaming community, and a Google ad be there regarding a website with game faqs and accessories, so, you more than probably click on that ad and visit the website, and might even be a customer, while you might not make a direct search on Google to find that site being at the top.

Ofcourse SEO, because it's a science.

Anybody can invest in PPC and the next day he can make cash.

But SEO is the main part of this game, and when you learn it.. you will never go broke. :)

i would go about them both , but if ur gonna to sell a specific product ppc will take u far more than seo , Seo its about what u want for the future.
ill try to make it clearly , SEO & PPC they are both ok , depends whats your target and more over , u can even work side by side with those things!
    HAVE A GOOD LUCK!

PPC will give you feedback on which words convert into sales, the volume of searches for various keywords. This data is very valuable for you in knowing which keywords to target in your SEO campaign.

As far as which offers the best ROI, I think that depends on the competitiveness of your niche. If you were targetting something ultra competitive like 'mortgages' you could invest a lot of money and time in SEO with no guarantee of traffic, whereas in this niche albeit at a high cost of traffic you can instantly buy qualified traffic.

The ultimate aim should be to do both and judge their ROI independently. One of major attractions of PPC is that you can start instantly.

a combination of the two is best. you have to decide what is best for your site and what will bring the best ROI
