I am going to set up office in India where I am going to recruit 5 PHP/ASP programers and 2 know how developers. I am wondering wich city is best to choose.

Has anybody any idea or experiences with that?

    Thank you!

Actually it all depends on the facilities you get in the city you choose. Actually, if you are looking for skill and talent, I think it is available everywhere in India :D
Just find a place where you are comfortable and that will be the best.
If you choose Kolkata by any chance, be sure to contact me, I'll help you out. :)

Infrastructure and other facilities are the best at Hyderabad and Bangalore. That's why google and other giants are having centers at these cities.

But other listed cities are also improving fast.

In terms of bandwidth, cochin (kochi) is the city to watch ,especially Dubai Internet City(www.dubaiinternetcity.com) is setting up Smart City at Cochin very soon. Talks are in the final stages. The Smart City will operate just like the DIC, which offers foreign companies 100 per cent tax-free ownership, 100 per cent repatriation of capital and profits, no currency restrictions, easy registration and licensing, stringent cyber regulations, protection of intellectual property.
