Static Links in plan?

    Shawn,

any plans to implement static links on COOP like link-vault does it? I have some sites with link-vault, some here, and I can really feel the difference with static links performing much better (for SERPs anyway). COOP is much larger network and all people here would benefit from this...

    Cheers.

Nope, Shawn has said countless times that there is no intention to switch to static links as this is a Advertising Network

He isn't trying to copy Link Vault

Oh I apologize my friend, I did search the forum before I posted this, but unfortunately I didn't find Shawn's countless answers.

I don't see problem with copying link-vault, they copied COOP in first place, and brought it further. I'm just saying that the static links work a lot better for SERPs, so it might be a good idea to add that option. If you had a choice during link creation to make it static or dynamic, we both could be happy.

Anyways, I got my answer. No changes planned in COOP...

    Cheers.

IMO, if DP is to do anything at all it has to take it to the next level...as LV did. Shawn needs a new brainchild, any ideas? I am hearing rumors of sitewide or footer page links are weakening in value.

What is the next level in COOP advertising?

Keep growing it until it has enough ads to draw on that I can start messing around with a mechanism to determine the context of a page and serve ads based on the context of the page they exist on. :) Only problem is it needs to get bigger before that is a possibility.

Wouldn't this be in direct conflict with adsense?

Shawn, why would you have to wait for the network to grow? Why couldn't you start determining the content of the site now?
