Bank withdrawal from e-gold?

Hello, I just signed up with e-gold and couldn't find this information on their site. I contacted their support but who knows how long that would take to get a response (if any). I wanted to know how you are supposed to withdrawal money from an e-gold account to your bank? I do not see any options for that on the site. Only that someone could buy something which is ranked by metals so I am confused. Thanks.

No, You can't withdraw egold funds to your account. You would need to use a third party exchanger / a debit card to withdraw your funds.

Ok so I would enter my credit card/debit card info somewhere and it would credit my account? However I do not see how that is possible, so I would assume I need to get a debit card associated with an e-gold account? I hope that is not the case.

Yes apparently you will be using a third party exchanger to fund your Egold account. You can see a list of official Egold exchangers:

No, Egold doesn't offer such service. No bank accounts or credit cards can be added to E-gold account.

Disguised is right ;) You need a third party exchanger for that in any case. I use to transfer using Stormpay..but Stormpay also had many problems recently :(

Check your local place. For instance in Singapore, there are legitimate exchangers which can transfer your egold funds to your desired local bank account for a reasonable fee.

Like the rest said, e-gold itself does not deal with any exchanges with cash. It just handles transfers of e-gold from account to account only.

You will need to get a 3rd party exchanger to do the conversion between cash and e-gold. Basically if you want to withdraw to cash to your bank account, you need to spend the e-gold funds to an exchanger then the exchanger will then send the money to your bank account. It works best if your exchanger is in your country.

The reverse is true when you want to fund your e-gold account, you can get someone to pay you through e-gold or basically go to one of those exchangers who would do that for you, in which case you wire transfer the money to the exchanger account and they will send you the funds into your account.

Or just find someone who has money in the bank and wants your e-gold then you set up your private exchange. Just make sure that the person you deal with is trustworthy because any e-gold being sent cannot be recovered as all transactions are final and you have no recourse.

Hmm well that sounds like too much of a hassle then. Overall I do not like e-gold. Having to enter the captca on just about every action, the poor site design, and complications of getting money do not seem to be worth it.
