What? Do most people think YPN is better than Adsense? I haven't tried YPN yet ... I'm doing okay with Google, should I switch? Is the payout better?

I don't understand how YPN is better than Adsense... Could you please explain why?

Wikiseek won't kill adsense, that's sure.

Do you mean it will kill Google search? what has it to with adsense? Anyway, are you out of your mind? If better products than Wiki like Yahoo, MSN can't compete with Google search, what makes you think Wiki search will? There is a big world out there other than information on wiki, you know.

YPN is awful for me -- just not enough targeted ads -- even using their ad targeting tool my sites ads are not relevant -- adsense and kontera much better for me

Why would Wikiseek "kill" Adsense? They're RUNNING Adsense ads.

Are you sure Wiki uses adsense. i though Wikis weren't allowed to use adsense on the bais the its content made by the general public and there is no way to compenstae them.

YPN is good and so is AdSense. On some sites one works better than the other, but AdSense by no means is no longer effective.

By the same token, though, what about these bottom-feeding, scraper sites taking articles from other sites...the other site's owner doesn't get compensated for the adsense on the MFA site.

You don't see the Adsense ads, qwest? On the right sidebar. I don't know who runs wikiseek, but maybe it's someone independent of Wikipedia? Are we sure Wikiseek and Wikipedia are run by the same people?

Proably not. But I thought the whole concept of wiki was based on total user generated content, so you either decided against showing ads or you compenstated the contributers as well. Maybe its just in the case of Wikipedia, I don't know.

Google is not going any were .. adsense for most is still the best way to go .. YPN is still slow on there invites or signups . So I see no change anytime soon.

Adsense will always be the King now... but i'm waiting for YPN to go international so we can see the games begin with competition. :)

I think it's not related to adsense. Perhaps some people are going to use it as a search engine but there's no competition when it comes to ads.
