I'm hovering around 10%. I know that's pretty good but can it be much better? Anyone getting a lot higher than 10% consistently.

BTW, I am getting this CTR thanks to many members here. It was hovering around 4% until I made several changes that I had seen mentioned on this forum.

Anything over 10% is high in my opinion.

I heard a while back that Google might think it suspicious if you were getting 40% or higher. I do have some pages that I buy traffic for from Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture and these people who click ads to get to my site tend to click ads to leave my site. While I can't say what my CTR is, I will say that 40% is possible. You certainly can do a lot better than 10% if you have new unique visitors that clicked an ad to get to your site. I think we need to first get our sites set up so that ads work well with the site and second we need to get the right kind of new traffic (buy some ad clicking traffic).

I think 10% is excellent. You should be happy with that.

    Congrats!

:D True. I consider anything over 5% good, 10% very good, 15% excellent. If you run a forum with adsense on it, many people report a CTR most of the time being lower than 2% so if you run a forum with more than a 2% CTR I would consider it good.

What is a good ctr would depend entirely on the type of people who visit your sites.
I have one shopping type site which gets >7% and I have a directory which gets <1%

try not to get higher than 10%, or google will not display ads on your page.

I like your Christian website. It looks nice and well designed.

A week or two ago I was concerned about a page that was getting a consistently high CTR, a few times higher than yours. Have read all the concerns about people getting their sites shut down I sent the page off to Adsense to see if it was OK. The only modification they asked me to do was to put borders around my ads (which goes against what people here have recommended, though Critters who has that crazy frog page contacted Adsense and they told him that his borderless ads with frog pictures above them were OK).

Anyway, a week later, the addition of borders has had no significant impact on my CTR. And when I sent the new page to google they said it was (in it's current state) fully within the TOS.

It's therefore possible to have a CTR many times higher than your 10%.

    Good luck!
