P.S. There some good points made there by Charles, I just want to add that the new WSO format means the post subject & link is advertised throughout the forum, within other posts; so it makes sense to think of a really catchy, interesting, witty, thought provoking, click me now subject to boost traffic. Advertise in your sig file too, although that should go without saying. Colm
Frankcow, Aside from being a writer, artist and game developer, Im also an internet marketer. I just got a WSO this morning. The reason is that the reports are always usually about the cutting edge of internet marketing. Some of them, like the one I got this morning amount to a niche business plan. Just because Im an internet marketer, and this goes for all of the senior Warrior Forum experts on the subject as well as me, it doesnt mean I know everything there is to know about internet marketing. There are constantly reports about new ways to make money, drive traffic to your websites, different online revenue models, and software programs that make all of the above much easier. Colm, good points as well; We could collab on a WSO of our own just using our last couple of posts LOL
Thanks Charles and Colm, those are handy tips. I've gone ahead and posted my WSO despite the time of day. It's just awaiting payment and moderation (how long does that take?). Mine is software, the same I pitched here on DP but at a special discount. Good point about the sig link, I'll do that when it's live. Fingers crossed, I see 50 grand in my payPal when I wake up
The moderation or your WSO can take a few minutes or a couple of hours. Expect some real scrutiny for a WSO posted by a realtive new member of the forum. They have even been known to reject some. You'll just need to wait and see. As far as when it goes live, you will be sent an email or private boardmail (I forget which) your WSO goes live when you pay the $$. So you can wait to pay until the time you want it to go live (timing is not exact).
Well, guess what. They wiped it. No explanation and as far as I can tell (and I reckon I'm pretty clever) I didn't break any rules whatsoever. The only thing I can think of is that I linked to DP, to the thread with 300+ replies where this all started. Are they like WMW where links to other forums are frowned upon? I specifically made a great effort to get to 40 quality posts. And in the process started to like it there a lot. Besides the Admin there, who can I contact for feedback on what I might have done wrong?
That's unfortunate. I'd try dropping michael tracey a note and see if you get a response. Or, drop allen a note. reply to his pm he sent yesterday about whatever latest and greatest he is selling...I'm sure you got one in your pm box over there. he has responded to two different pm's I sent him in the past. I've run about a half dozen wso's in the past but some of the moderators are, imo, idiots. My company sells direct mail advertising. One of the services we wrap around a direct mail campaign is email, provided by a large company who caters to fortune 500 companies. I had some extra capacity so offered a wso. A moderator rejected it (some guy from sweden i think) and when I asked he said "we don't need that kind of spam stuff around here". Moron. In spite of a 4 paragraph description of the services along with references he thinks all email that isn't a reply is spam.
OK I replied to that PM from Allen. I figured linkeing to DP would be the easiest way to for Warriors to establish who I am and whether they can trust me and my offer. I hope that's not what got it wiped. Will see...
If, like me, you take the time to familiarize yourself with the concept (and read this thread) you will find the answer easily: http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=118959 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2308754&postcount=13
TOPS30, Im sorry to hear your WSO was rejected. I would be interested in any explanation you get, if any, so please share your progress with us. I only submitted one WSO and I had over 250 posts before I did. Having less than a hundred is an immediate red flag but Ive purchased cool WSOs with writers that had less than 100. Under fifty and even if they are well thought out, if they are all made in a short time, it will be a red flag. I definitely wouldnt stress about it; just calmly petition the mods and especially Admin, the big cheese Someone who's build up such a solid rep in a place like DP will have no trouble in the warrior forum, Im sure. The WSO fee was a scorching hot topic and most warriors supported it because there were a bunch of idiots that spammed the forum with scams or obviously-thrown-together-for-a-quick-buck "reports". Good luck with it.
I’ve been running WSO’s (Warrior Special Offers) for a couple of years at the Warrior Forum. Based on my experience and the data I’ve collected, I can clue you in to the performance: 1. WSO’s tend to perform best when posted on Sunday or Wednesday afternoons EST. 2. A quality WSO will average 516 sales over a three-week period. 3. The average cost of my WSO’s is $14.02 so you can do the math and project earnings of just over $7K per WSO. I’ve had WSO’s for software, scripts, reports on IM and so forth, all of which have been successful by any standard of measure. In fact, I also market it a report called, “The Art of Warriorsâ€, which sells for $27 and details how the process works and how to run successful offers. I’ll give you a couple of tips – even though you can generally post a WSO if you’ve got just 5 or 10 posts, you’re far better off spending some time participating in the forum. It’s a fairly close-knit group of people and reputation matters a lot there. There are only two people who can approve or reject WSO’s – Allen Says, the owner and Michael Tracey, the WSO Forum Moderator. If your WSO is rejected and you don’t get an explanation, it’s probably because you’re a newer member. They get a lot of traffic through that forum and don’t have time for handholding, which is why participation is always better for you. Allen and Michael are both good guys – but they don’t take any crap from anyone, nor do they need to. These folks at the Warrior Forum are hardcore marketers, and respond best to offers detailing new methods, techniques, ideas and so on for building traffic and making money online. If you go over there as a buyer, be very, very careful – I’ve got a post stickied at the top of the WSO forum giving some tips regarding buyer safety. Read that first before buying up everything in site. Not every product is high quality, nor are they always useful. There are scammers who continually sneak in under new ID’s that members are always on the lookout for, no different than anywhere else. But, I’ve bought hundreds of excellent products and services there and I’ve also bought a few white elephants. Live and learn – overall, it’s a very cool revenue stream for me and a great resource of informational products.
I've just received the “The Art of Warriors†report mentioned by Big Mike. I've taken a quick look through it, and it looks like everything is there to get me going with a WSO of my own. I can't detect even a hint of 'fluff' I'm going to be printing this shortly and going through it in detail for sure, it seems to be very well researched.
The report you mention frankcow is a gem. In my experience you can't go wrong following up on anything BigMike says. He is truly one of the good guys on the web and will go out of his way to help.
I read "The art of warrior" by Big Mike too, it doesnt even touch the bare surface of what is really the key of succeeding in WSO. I'm running a WSO now, have 90 comments, 3000 reads, 200 sales at $24.99 - it's a great way to promote your product. Made $5000 within 9 days with 4 hours of work. I'm releasing an ebook next month on how I did it, PM me if you're interested.
I'm in the middle of a WSO right now, and it's going pretty well. The main things to do are just good housekeeping like responding in a timely fashion and being courteous etc. To answer frankcow, I guess they purchase because they want to learn new ideas and techniques for marketing. The forum may be full of marketers but there are new ways of doing things being developed all the time. I have purchased a few and with simple tips from one of them I have been able to double my monthly income. Not bad for $7!
