    Displaying a web page with an all-white background color on your computer screen, consumes 74 watts of electricity...

    a page with black background and white text uses 59 watts only.

    So if all the millions of Google pages changed to a black background nearly 3000 megawatt-hours of electricity would be saved!

    Google could contact an electrical company and threaten to make their pages black if they don't give them free electricity, LMAO.

    3000 megawatt-hours is a lot of money, especialyl with all their users.
