SEO vs Prostitution

Problem with GUARANTEE is what if Google changes its Search algo and as a result things turn against the SEO guy.

Betting on a THIRT PARTY to guarantee something is just inviting trouble.

 

Don't forget, a guarantee usually implies that if the results are not achieved that some type of reimbursement will occur.

It's nothing more than a promise that helps reduce perceived risk on behalf of a potential customer.

So, rather then getting caught up on the semantics, just realize that the smart SEO (I'm not in the SEO business) will make a guarantee, to reassure a customer so that they will make a purchase. In all likelihood the SEO will first figure out the keywords desired, to see whether or not they feel it is worth accepting the business under the terms of the guarantee.

yes this is true but that doesn't stop the people from saying anyone who guarantees anything is fraud and rip off

 

My main business is SEO and I have to deal with wild claims and "guarantees" made by a small group of competitors on a regular basis. Most competitors I run into are honest and try to do a good job for their clients. My issue has always been with "the other guys" who give the industry a bad name.

I follow up and debunk all the claims that clients hear about when they come to me. The tactics have not changed very much in the past 5 years.

I agree... Only newbie SEO specialists claims and guarantees SE Rankings. Even Matt Cutts nor the SE engineers doesn't guarantees any results in Google, simply because the results are based in computations.

 

disagree you can rank 1st very easly for very stupid terms

what people don't seem to understand is a gaurentee doesn't actually gaurentee the rankings, it gaurentees some sort of refund or the end of future charges IF the rankings don't happen

like my tires are gaurenteed for 50k miles, they may or may not last that long, but if they don't then they give me new ones. See they are gaurenteeing something and theorectically it might not happen, business do it all the time
