Blogger atom.xml paths now blogger.com/feeds/?

    OK, I've just noticed that my "Recent Blog:" link next to my avatar is no longer pointing directly to my blog but to blogger.com/feeds... I checked my profile to ensure it was still pointing to http://www.foreveblueskies.com/atom.xml, which it is, so I checked a few other people's profiles (of whom I know are using Blogger either at their own domains or the free blogspot) and they're the same... all paths lead to blogger...

    Anybody know what's going on? When did this happen? Is this a result of me being forced to upgrade my Blogger account over the weekend?

    This could be enough to piss me off and force me to go WordPress...

    OK, maybe I didn't make myself clear enough...

    My blog feed here at DP points to MY domain and yet "My Recent Blog:" points to Blogger. Recently my blog lost a number of inbound links and my PR dropped from 5 to 4.

    It appears that new Blogger has hijacked our links and it may be because of the coding of the feeds in the new blogger templates, for example...

    <link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="Forever Blue Skies - Atom" href="http://www.foreverblueskies.com/atom.xml" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Forever Blue Skies - RSS" href="http://www.foreverblueskies.com/rss.xml" />
    <link rel="service.post" type="application/atom+xml" title="Forever Blue Skies - Atom" href="http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8066643/posts/default" />
    Code (markup):
    The direct link to the domain feed is now an 'alternate' feed and blogger.com/feeds gets the links instead now...

    Does anybody else find this frustrating?

    And is there a way 'round this other than migrating to WordPress, which I've been considering for some time now anyway?

    :)

    Blogger is giving us everyday a new reason to migrate to Wordpress or paid hosting. Just few days back I came to know that blogger can delete your blog anytime.

    It is definitely time to migrate away from blogger. Wordpress is the b3tter of the two anyway.
