1 Year Old site on Inspirational Stories - Very Cheap Price - Starting Bid $1

I had bought this domain http://www.inspistories.com/ in Apr 06 and wanted to make a top site about inspirational stories but could never do it.

The site has 310 story database and some nice features like the front page gets refreshed eveytime you open it so you can get new stories. The site also has subscribed option by which user will get daily stories in his email account. Not only that there is option of user submitted stories as well. User can submit stories and through a simple admin panel at the backend you can enable/disable user submitted stories.

To be honestly speaking, I had never looked at the site once it got completed and hence the site is in poor condition. The traffic is very low with no revenue.

I had spend $120 on design + database + domain($100+$10+$10), so I am willing to sell it for $120 as BIN - No profit - No Loss.

If someone submits a story, does it go online automatically or does it need to be approved? I ask because some ppl may use it to put in vulgar stuff.

Can the page be changed around like banners or images added?

* No CMS involved but it's all manually codes. You don't have to do anything, * You can add your own stories ofcourse through the Admin Panel as I had said. User submitted stories will go to admin panel where you can have the control to either make them live or to delete them.
* Users can only submit stories, that's it. THey can not edit them

WIth the site, you ofcourse getting everything...the database and the code.

How long has it been since you submitted it to StumbleUpon and the like?

 

Never submitted to stumbleupon and ya, that thread is of Aug 06. At that time there was no database and no design. I just had the domain and few stories I think. When no one bought the domain so I went on to build a site but than again, couln'd market it. I hope this satisfies your curosity..

 

Just repeating that last question once again: How many of the articles are original?

I don't have much idea actually as I had bought a databas of stories. I don't think the stories are original as they are one of more popular once(I myself had read few of them before).

You need to keep the bigger picture in mind that it's about Inspirational stories and not unique content. Also it's kinda hard to write original inspirational stories on your own

 

Nice site. It's quite smart idea. I bet you get a fair bit of traffic from search engines with all the content. Anyways GL with the sale

The biggest mistake I did was I never conentrated on the main keyword of the site. If I had, in such a big time, I could have easily got the site on top.

Anywya got some queries in mailbox and replied back. Guys I still feels that $20 is very low. I may give away the site in exchange of some script if this continues as I surely want to sell it but it's impossible to sell it for pennies.

Yes it works You can register there and see yourself. It sends email with story as content in every 24 hours.
