Dmoz corrupted , editors sabotaging competitors !!!

That is because they don't understand how DMOZ works. People really believe that there is thousands of editors and don't know that in reality is only about 200-300 editors and 90% of those are not volunteers.

 

I'm sorry, I almost missed your post...I was busy napping. While I was napping, I had a dream that anyone can volunteer to be an editor and therefore the laziest editors are the ones who haven't even volunteered yet. Then a monkey started chasing me around a tree with a rubber-band gun...

whew, after all that typing I need another nap... no editing today.

 

Sadly, I have to admit gworld is right. An admin did make a post about their website.

Not sure about the lying part though, did the admins tell us they didn't have websites or did someone else in a position of authority tell us that? I don't recall. Either way, I can't deny that I'm disappointed.

 

Admins were supposed to be free from ties to commercial web sites and only edit in DMOZ, spam wikipedia and support illegal porn because they are volunteers.

 

compostannie , we all applied to become editors after waiting and waiting ...
but let's be real , the aply to become an editor button is a hoax ...
because it makes people talk and promote dmoz and get involved in the promotion process ....
after all it's simpler to tell people that they have elected the dictator so that this dictator get the support of the people ... but let's be real it's not a democracy it's a dictatorship

That's how they ridicule webmasters or submitters in DMOZ. Fact is they are webmasters too. They just don't want to admit that they are.

Lets face it they SOMETIMES ridicule and bully RZ posters in their hidden thread only for editors.

Defend - Defend - Defend that's all they know about their precious DMOZ.

 

If webmasters think that most DMOZ editors think that webmasters are stupid, then they are wrong.

I'm here to talk about the many positive aspects of DMOZ and to learn from webmasters. Now why in the world would I want to learn from webmasters if I thought they were stupid? THAT would be stupid.

Maybe there is hope for the free world

 

Well we are all supposed to be free from drugs too, thats how god wants us to be, but not everyone is drugs free . Exceptions exists everywhere and no one can stop that, its just our human nature to be corrupted easily.

Tell me about it, admins insult, lie and abuse there authority when there vanity gets hurt at wikipedia! (at lest on Croatian wiki don't know about English) So that saying about absolute power corrupts absolutely keeps getting confirmation all the time.

Darn, good thing I got removed or I would have become one of them very quickly... and my first executive decision would be to hire Snoop Dogg as Meta editor for Adult.
