    Having a bad day, mate? A/C gone out? It was only 108 F today, and by October it should be in double digits again, so cheer up.

    Take yourself down to the George & Dragon (Central/Indian School) and have a couple of beers. Baghdad won't look quite so attractive a relo after that. Remember, the cactus isn't always greener on the other side.

    There are a few Phoenicians here on DP. And a lot of very knowledgable and freindly people generally.

    Welcome to DP. Phoenix is definitely a hot place... I've only been through there a few times and it was blazing both days.

    Did you pick your major so you could stay indoors in the AC in front of a screen all day?

    I liked Phoenix, AZ... probably because I was in an airconditioned car. I lived in a far worse and hotter location when I went to college for five years, so cheer up. Oh ya, we could have a sponge bath about once every three days in summer because the wells dried up to where the pumps could not reach the water.
