Just wondering what the best way to monetize a proxy is. I have YPN on mine right now, but want to pull away from that to see if I can monetize it better in some way.

mine is www.9x5.org in the event anyone can take a gander and see if I can do something more...

    thank you for your time!

not very targetted! - get some more text on your site so the ads are better targetted.

YPN is probably your worst choice as Proxy traffic tends to ve mostly non US-based.

You would probably be a lot better off with Adsense. There are a lot of posts to be found on monetising proxy servers on the forums at the moment, do a search as most of it has been well covered over the last few weeks.

    • Not rendering properly in Firefox, fix that
    • Use AdSense on homepage
    • Use Adversal popunders on proxy pages
    • Get rid of ad borders and use two 336x228 on top, one 728x90 on bottom

Ahhh first off your ads are cropped ..(middle row) in Mozzila Firefox .. you had better get thoses changed before you lose it all.. lol ..YPN is proably a lot like Google and that is a searious violation. ...like speeding with a beer ..yikes..

Maybe ring tones ..but you really have to consider how many are goign to click a VISUAL..add while hacking ..lol most just want to get were they want ....and then what intrest there next PAGE move ..so maybe .. a friend finder or a TRUE ad if you are lucky.

I personaly like ads to other proxys..vs the ones you have.

    Good Luck -

Any tips on a good CPM program for the proxied pages? I'm personally using Adbrite at the moment but it's paying between 10-20c CPM, and ValueClick didn't accept the application to include the proxy in question (I've got an account with them for other sites)
