Favicon Maker

You know those little icons some websites use when you save the URL to your bookmarks? Is anyone familiar with any kind of generators or favicon download sites on the net?

I've used the one on the HTML-Kit site FavIcon from Pics and just like the editor it is excellent. There is even a favicon validator.

I downloaded IconForge (available at http://www.favicon.com/ ) which wasn't very blonde-proof for me, but still functional.

It's a paid program, but you get a 7 day free trial; the cool thing about that is it counts the days you open it, not calendar days. I used my 7 days up over the course of about a month.

Depending on how many you need to create, it should give you plenty of time to familiarize with it and execute what you need without having to purchase.
