    Should not make any difference really. As long as the content is fresh and all you title, meta and h tags are all in place. The only difference really is a blog will end up a with a lot more pages. If you have it sitemapped well, then this may help.

    No difference, really. What you should consider is whether the change will benefit your users / readers :)

    I have a new site www.troubleinhollywood.com and I focused on a blog format. I think the SEO value is determined by the number of good links and the uniqueness of the content. However.... Blogs have a hidden weapon. They can ping the larger sites like technorati and the like. This immediately raises the SEO value.
