Namecheap offers domain for 8.88$, I have my almost domain registered with Namecheap. Netfirm is offering domain for $4.95 these days, but I am not sure how much will they charge on renewal.

You can also register domain for Yahoo Small Business for just 1.99$, but I am not sure if this offer is still valid.

I would defiently do namecheap. They may be your average cost for a domain name but it sure is worth it.

HostMySite is offering domain names for $2.95 through the end of February.

Yahoo offers discounts on a regular basis, but check the terms. Those specials are designed to acquire new customers, so may not be available on additional domains.

I will recommend you namecheap, if you are going to register multiple domain, if you are registering only one, then Yahoo is best.

Whoever offers it cheap, will get the money from you using some other way.
If you buy it for 3$, then most likely you`ll have to pay 25$ to renew it in a year. If i am not mistaken, thats pretty much what Netfirms is doing.

Yes, you have to watch out for those renewal prices.

If you're looking to flip the domains later, namecheap is an easy place to do a domain push (transfer to new owner)

If you get your hosting at Hostgator, you can get a domain reseller account at enomcentral and get $8.25 domains.
