    Yep, I read that you can use text to promote those to get people to sign-up, even though you cannot cannot attract attention to the normal ads.

    You should ask Tearbite (DP user). I know he makes a lot from referrals. He would be in a much better position to know about this than I.

    They do allow endorsement and encouragement of the referral products.

    And this one uses Grownupgeek as an example:
    Refer users to new products...

    So with the right audience you can definitely to very nicely with referrals.
