Help-Howto Move Emails without having access to webhost?

Hi,
My client doesn't have access to their current host and needs to move to a new host asap. Their webpages are basic, but the email setup is trickly.They have access to webmail, however there are no options to backup, export emails, etc.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to move their emails?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if they have the access to the shell it can be done or an ftp else the other way is to use an imap script to retrieve and put it in a database

The do not have access to anything except webmail. I started downloading the messages to gmail and Outlook. The problem I'm having now is that I cannot retreive the old "sent" emails.

Can you recommend an imap script?
