One more ridiculous Warning/Infraction

So I was following this post - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=231635

Made few replies - just arguing with the service provider (that's all). Didn't, in DP terms "Hijack" the post, by a) offering my own service, b) telling people to go some place else.

Why do I get warning for this? I see Infraction was reversed. Then why were my posts deleted?

Not that I really care about Warnings - If any rule broken from my end - was early on when I was a new member on this forum and I admit - back then I had not read the rules/TOS. And if my posts are to be reviewed - I don't break rules.

Anyway - my point for this post - I just don't understand why do I get a) warning for my posts and b) my posts are deleted.

If explanation is rational I will accept or else I might start feeling that the Mod who gave me warning/infraction didn't get laid recently or didn't get morning Coffee!

When you have nothing to add to the thread that's what you should add - nothing. There's no need for you to post in every infraction related thread. No need for a response either, let the OP get the response he or she was looking for.

 

So its ok for lorien to put a pic up saying don't whine (contributing to the thread how?), but I can't say your posts don't show?

You hijacked it by derailing the topic. It's a sales thread, not a 'review my pricing policy' thread. If you don't agree with the price, leave it.

I haven't posted in every infraction thread. And lets pretend I have, I don't see why it would matter. Same as if I post in all SEO threads or whatever...

I don't care about infractions, just aslong as I don't get enough to be banned.

If every Marketplace thread inded up in a massive argument we might as well close it. That's why discussions should take place in one of the 100 other forums we have and sales in Buy/Sell/Trade.

Imagine eBay like that...

You either buy it, ask a valid question or make a reasonable counter-offer, that's all there's to it.

Tops - That judgement is acceptable. I had to know the reason before accepting any kind of warning/infraction.

Just let it go Bombaywala - I've had like 5 or something infractions today. Just don't reach 10 and get banned.

I think "infractions" sounds a bit harsh, which is why everyone gets so angry about them. When you think about it you basically get 10 warnings, so its no biggie if you get 1...
