    I wouldn't trust any automated tool. The best links are the links made by hand manually.

    I have found that the problem with link metro and other linking websites is that even though you can get lots of links, they are generally poor quality links. That is not saying that you can't find any good links.

    i think thats one of the worst places to get links. lot of spammy sites, almost no quality sites, in most cases you find your link together with 500 other sites on a single page on domain.com/stuff/links/directory/54/links.php.

    waste of time...

    I have used Link Market and Linkalyzer. Link Market allows for a master account if you pay and you can then filter so you get requests from the relevant sites. The free accounts for either will fill your inbox with everything under the sun and takes forever to deny all of the ones that aren't relevant just to get to the handful that are. That was my experience anyway.
