is using the php/javascript tracking tool for adsense allowed by google?

has anyone asked the question or know someone who knows its ok or not?

would be glad to know, then i can develop the tool for others to use.

    thanks

As far as I know, it is ok as long as your are not modifying the adsense code.

I currently use ASREP, but I have also used the free adsense_clicklogger.

What trackers are you guys using? I just started playing with asrep .com and find it cumbersome.

webdesignlist, I'd really really appreciate that! I might even donate, if I ever can get any money ;)

    Features I'd want:
    The reports should track:
Time on page before click, page they came from before they got to the page with the ad where they clicked, the colors of the ad unit, the time/date of the click, and the URL they are going to when the click, and the title of the ad.

Also, make sure it works in Firefox.

    Firefox/safari should be no problem.
Time - easy, referrer - easy, colours - hmm, click time - easy, url - easy, ad title - hmm not sure if possible at this point (maybe, i just havent looked to close at it yet - i doubt it tho).

for ease of use im considering also to host the script on my servers so the user just has to use js code - they dont need a database etc.

    any more ideas are welcome.

but whatever i do, it will be free :)

I'd really like to run the script on my own host, but you might considor doing both. I think letting them download it would put less of a strain on your server.
