Google is funny! I removed adsense code but still getting impressions

Discussion in 'Reporting & Stats' started by evera, Feb 7, 2007.

Google is funny. I removed the Adsense code completely from my web some months ago because we don't fit their guidelines. But the Adsense account is still active and in the logs it still shows like 120 impressions per month, without any earnings. Any idea where they come from?
Same for Google analytics, I removed the code completely but it still shows detailed information for about 200 visits per month, and I don't have just 200 visits per month.
I seems to me that Google is not very accurate in those things. I'm wondering when they can't even manage that, how can they report the impressions and earnings correctly?

    That makes sense.
But still funny they got cached pages after about 3 month, never thought of that.

To make me earn more? :)
No don't think someone did that.

Not just cached pages from search engines, if someone goes to your site once, and goes to it later, it is likely that the browser will load the page from cache instead of re-downloading the page. Thus they will load your page with the adsense code on it, because the page that was saved had it, and the browser has not checked if the page has updated.

    Doubt that, honestly.
Site's won't keep loading on your PC from cache for months..

I did that just yesterday, so it can't be that. ( Curious if it brings any money )
Because I didn't add my adsense code anywhere the last 3 months.
And browser cached pages for over 3 months, I don't think so...
Why should they watch 3 month old pages constantly.
