    From same article:

"Google's partner sites generated revenues, through AdSense programs, of $1.20 billion, or 37% of total revenues, in the fourth quarter of 2006. This is a 50% increase over network revenues of $799 million generated in the fourth quarter of 2005 and a 16% increase over third quarter 2006 revenues of $1.04 billion."

Unless you work for Google and/or have access to their internal ad reporting stats, you don't know this. Publicly traded companies are under pressure to increase their revenues and profits every quarter to maintain their stock value. Google could be skimming a few pennies from AdSense payouts for each publisher and reporting this as profit.

37% of Google income is from adsense. So if Google is Up ... publishers (in global) are up also.
Therefore, some publishers are down but others are up (mainly new publishers who start from 0).
    C'est la vie. :p

Thats fantastic. I would imagine all this is from adssense, right? Remember, google has a huge interest in the adsense program and will want it to from strength to strength. I am sure their aim will be to generate close to $2 billion from partenr sites by the 4th quarter next year.

Hmm i was assuming that >%90 of their income is coming from adsense. Where did they start getting money other than adsense? (Because i read sth telling >%95 of income is coming from adsense at least when they started adsense)

Strictly speaking, they do not get money from adsense, it is from adwords. Although substantial chunk comes from publisher sites, I would greater portion comes from ads on search pages,w hich are of course, their own search pages and not publisher sites.

I seriously doubt they will have any trouble making their money back on this takeover.

You will soon see ads in all youtube videos. And than the money will come.

I haven't seen anything good come from Google except their search engine and adsense... the rest is beta crap, totally no respect for copyrights and privacy.
