Creating a Web Site Using Drupal For Newbies - Video Tutorial Series

Hi guys,

I just finished completing the third in the series of screencasts (videos) on creating a web site using Drupal CMS. I cover right from installation to configuration to administration. At the end of this tutorial series, you will be able to create and run a site like this (site look might be changing as I add features and extend this series).

I never knew that categories had to be created under vocabulary - I'm going to watch all the videos.

 

Sri - questions, if you don't mind.

Is it easy to create a plugin that allows me to place Adsense anywhere within a Drupal article - the placement varies with each article.

Is it also easy to create a plugin / function that accepts parameters, and then outputs the appropriate javascript? Say with Chitika - I write a post, and decide to insert an ad after the 1st paragraph, all I need to do is insert the function with the parameters for ad size and product to display.

For your 1st Q, this might be the answer: http://drupal.org/project/adsense

And for 2nd, I have no idea (yet). I suggest you post in drupal.org forums.

Do update here whenever you find out the solutions.
