Google banned my account

Discussion in 'Guidelines / Compliance' started by shyren, Feb 1, 2007.

    Hi,
I just got an email from google that they have disabled my account as i am showing copyrighted material on my website. Though they say on their email that they have disabled serving ads on my website I still see google ads on my website. And also I am just providing links or embedding videos and not really hosting them as links to YouTube and can on this basis my account be disabled?
Will I get the money which I earned last month?
    Thanks
    Salil

Will you get the money you earned last month? Let's just say be prepared for the worst and if you actually get it that's a bonus! I know they withold payment in the case of people suspended for invalid clicks/automated traffic.

Sorry to hear about it, but did G really banned you only because of that??
In other words, did G say that you can't use the account anymore? Maybe you can just remove the copyright materials and ask G for a reinstatement.

    Good Luck

You may want to cut your losses ..Google is SO hard to get back with .. sure some do ..BUT most do not.

Sorry to hear that I have lost 3 sites inthe past 2 months so I understand your pain. ADBRIGHT is a low earing ...but they will help the cause. start to really define your nitch and place ads that way with adbright. :0)

    Hi,
I am sorry for this but I found out that Google didn't ban but disabled serving ads on my website (as per they say). Though I see that ads are still served on my website and I am still earning money in my account. Though I removed the material which Google pointed to, can any body tell me that should I email them that I removed the copyrighted material.
    Thanks

You said Google banned your account, if they banned you can't login to your account any more, you did'nt try that and came here to post that you're banned.

First of all, you should take the necessary actions whatever happened, can't simply post here with blind, you should ask the above question in your first post... :(

If your website was banned after 20th of the month, you have a very good chance of getting the last month's payment.

May be it was just a warning message, so read it again and strictly follow up what it says. If it says remove the materials and contact us, then do it.

If your account has been banned, then you could not log in and will not see any adsense ad on your web sites. I know this because of personal experience. So obviously you have to be quick in what Google is asking you to do to avoide getting banned.

e-mail them stating that you removed the material they questioned and ask them to review it again.

I don't understand why you would hesitate to e-mail them again. At least if you e-mail them (and keep the e-mail, of course), if they do stop serving ads on a delayed basis, you can point out how cooperative you have been, and you'll have the e-mail to show good faith. If they don't need the e-mail, all you have done is waste a few minutes, probably not much more time than you spent asking whether you should e-mail or not.

Google who obviously never heard of the word copyright when it comes to their own sites is telling you that you don't obey copyright? Geez... how pathetic.

He's thinking to Youtube and Google owns Youtube now so it'd be easy for them to check where Youtube links are embedded. If someone complains about a Youtube video, they check where the video is embedded and viola!
