I signed up for the keyword tracker about 2 weeks ago and I'm not seeing any sort of results for my site. I get "N/A" underneath the "rank heading. Any ideas?
Yes it can be pretty frustrating watching your keywords going nowhere month after month. Out of 50 that I am tracking 48 have always had N/A next to them but their is a light at the end of the tunnel...two have shown up, one of them shot straight to positon eight Actually a few of them are wishfull thinking keywords, I just put them in their because if they ever do start to show It will mean, I have arrived.
Oh. I didn't know that it only shows the top 200. Well, I know I'm number one on yahoo and MSN. Did I not configure the wordtracker tool right so that it would track my rankings for Y and M?
I set my language and coutry settings to English and U.S, respectively and yet, I'm still not seeing rankings for Y and M? What else am I doing wrong?
I know it may sound silly, but did you check to make sure you put the right Yahoo API in? The first time I did it I forgot the last digit somehow... Other than that all you should have to do is make sure you check the box for Yahoo & MSN when you add your keywords.
oh. I didn't know that I had to add the Y and M API. I only added Google's API. Where do I get the API for Y and M?
There is no Yahoo or MSN API. What's the keyword and URL combo (exactly as you entered it in the KW tracker)? And for what placement and what search engine do you think it should be (where the KW tracker isn't showing)?
My bad driven. As Shawn pointed out, Yahoo is not the API... Yahoo is the script. Just trying to do to much at once last night.
"wenatchee real estate agent". I put in this url; www.carolswenatchee.com Right underneath the url section, are the G and Y and M checkboxes. Google is already checked off, but I'm not allowed to check off Yahoo and MSN. And I know for a fact that these keywords are ranked number one for Y and M.
You will need to host the tracker script yourself to get the Y & M rankings. They will always stay N/A unless you get that script running. I didn't see you on the first few Google pages so it's probably spot on.
Click around in your account. Go Edit Preferences and scroll down and read the fine print under the tracker script entry. You might find this link: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/advanced_script.html
Damn. My site doesn't offer PHP for this type of script. Looks like I'm going to have buy some sort of keyword tracking software. Any recommendatoins. Thank you for your time.
Driven, there are plenty of free hosting companies that could host the PHP script for you. Feel free to check out this PHP host directory or I've also heard of Host Matrix. I have not used any of the companies listed, but for simply hosting a single script I doubt you could go wrong. Hopefully those will help you out. (just trying to make up for the Yahoo API thing... )
