Convert PowerPoint slide to good quality graphics

    Hi all,

    I am not sure whether I am posting in a right forum. I am looking for a open source/free software/way to convert a powerpoint file to graphics file. There is a way to convert the PPT slides to Image formats by File -> Save As. But the quality is not so good. So, I am looking for alternatives.

    Please suggest me.

    I haven't seen any open source solution for this with the great quality which you need. The Save As has been enough for my purposes. Vicman has some paid tools, but I have not used them myself.

    May I know the purpose of the photo... is it for printing?... or to put in website?...

    Hi. When u say 'graphics file' I am assuming static graphic for printing purposes... Yes? Anyway, I hope this will help...

    Here's a way to convert your ppt slide to a graphic.
    First, run your slideshow. Press Prnt Screen on your keyboard.
    Open any graphic edit software - preferably Photoshop (works with microsoft photo editor too)
    Create a new doc and paste what you've grabbed from screen
    Export, Save that photoshop file to jpg, png, tiff or whatever...
    Continue for each slide...

    I am going to put the pictures in Web. But I expect the quality. The built in solution doesn't provide good quality pictures. So, I am looking for alternatives.

    Another option is to click on "FILE"' then "PRINT", a new window will be opened (in which you choose the printing preferences), on the bottom-left, click on "SAVE AS", a few choices will appear... choose .PDF. You can open a .PDF in photoshop, for example, and convert it (save it) as a .tiff, .jpg, or whichever format you need. Hope the information works for you...

    If you still need it I want to advise you a prog that I use - Presentation To Video Converter. It converts powerpoint to video, flash, gif & even burn to CD/DVD.
