$0.10 for Firefox conversion... Is this a joke?

Ya its absolutely normal actually the fact is that When some one from your country or near to your country clicks on the referal and downloads it then u get only $0.10 but some one from far away country do the same you get $1
It happened to me quite a few times :)

Several months ago I was promoting Picasa Software from Google Pack, but after several days of testing I remove it, because most of the conversions was paid at $0.10.
And last week I was surprised when checking the sites clicked on AdSense: I detected aprox 1% of clicks going to picasa.google.com. I hope Google paid something for those self-promoting ads.

It's based on statistic data. Apparently Google ads displayed in search results convert better in some countries, less in others. And I think CTR also varies.

I agree. But Google might be focusing on getting many FF users in US before the other regions, so they have a higher priority, and therefore they pay more money if you convince americans to use it than an european.

I've made $0.10 for one before... but that was only once out of about 30 or so FF conversions over the last 4-5 months.

EDIT: actually, it was a Picasa conversion that was $0.10 ... all others were $1.00

I agree that it's just too bad that the price you get per conversion changes. So far I've only had 0.50 conversions - probably from the Netherlands.

Well, firefox is free, but they are making $millions a year with customised google advertising. There was a thread a while ago.

It seems someone here on DP doesn't believe me you can get $0.10 for Firefox conversion [IMG]. Look:

No, you should still get paid even if the visitor downloads only one product from the Google Pack. (The core pack, not the extras). Provided of course that they didn't have the product already installed.

Well, it could take quite some time for the conversion to show. It should show as a click, but conversion takes quite a while. Also make sure that your friend didn't have any previous version of the app installed. Google only pays for a first install.
