    Hi,

I am accepting submissions into my free directory again, i closed them earlier today so i could verify quite a few links.

the directory is 100% free, despite its name.

    www.paidpaid.info

    Thanks,

    Rob

Edit: we now have 6001 submissions in the directory. Any links before 9:20pm GMT have been verifyed.

LOL. I opened the directory in the last week of September last year.

5,800 links in 4months isn't bad, but more the better.

I may do another competition, because some people didn't reply to my emails last time i did it. Need to think.

FYI, in Safari for Macs the site looks fine. But in IE for Macs it is chopped up all over the page, with overlappings and the dreaded horizontal scroll. Not sure why. I've seen this before with this directory format.

Eek, i wonder why my brother didn't tell me, he uses mac. Ah, i dont think i told him about this site, so he never saw it. I have used the same layout since September 2006, so i am really unsure if i should change the layout or not.

I havnt seen it in a mac before, my iMac G3 (from 1998) just stopped working around 2 weeks ago, so i can't really check. If it is really really bad, i will change it asap. I am baffled if it is because of that googlead, i have just added it.

Anyway, if you use firefox, get adblock and hide the ads, they really suck.

Very cool name for free directory. Too bad it isn't .com
How I see it it makes sense, like links are already paid so we don't have to pay.

Have your brother look at in IE for Mac. That's where the page goes crazy. In Safari it looks great. And I have definitely had this same problem with this directory format in the past, using IE for Mac.

Perhaps the number of Mac users browsing with IE is too small to worry about, though. :) It might not be cost-effective to make any big changes.

Haha, getting my brother to use IE is like trying to get a donkey to move 1,000,000 miles. He uses Camaro i think.

I didnt notice it was IE on a MAC. Nobody uses IE on a mac, that is daft (unless you are using mac os 9.2, in which case you are forced to use IE 5.5..).

I dont think i will bother, but thanks to pointing this out to me. Rep added.

You're correct on that. I use Safari for everything ... except directory submissions. For some reason I can't get my Safari to autofill during directory submission, but IE works fine. So I trot out the old IE-for-Mac dinosaur  and use that for directory submissions (only!).

To be honest, i don't know much about Safari, but it doesn't seem to be a very popular browser, according to AwStats, only 0.3% use it.

48% use firefox, 46% use Internet Explorer. This is, to be honest, the first time i have seen my stats where firefox is more popular than IE. Wow, i am utterly amazed.

I'm thinking that number is closer to 3% of total market share. And that's primarily because Macs themselves have a small market share, so Safari's numbers reflect that.

Just a quick update: We are currently down, since around 5mins ago, i dunno why, i have already contacted my host on MSN, and via a support ticket, i have done all i can to report the problem, but the guy is afk at the moment. I will reply again once it is back up (and when i am awake, i go sleep in around 5mins).

(I know it was 5mins ago because i was editing the site, and only apache is down, cpanel works.)

    Thanks,

    Rob
