How well does YPN work for publishers?

Discussion in 'Publisher Network' started by rideswitch, Jan 23, 2007.

I have just signed up for ypn. Apparently it takes a while from what I have read. What kind of results are people getting by putting ypn ads on thier sites?

    Thank you.

There are many threads on this forum that go into detail of how well publisher works for their sites.

    Just do some reading...

Like anything, it has its pros and cons. It really depends on your site and keywords. I would suggest putting it on and seeing what results you get compared to whatever you were using before. YPN support is pretty good compared to Adsense.

Once you do put it on, be sure to wait up to 4 or 5 days before you make a decision. Usually it takes around that amount of time before the ads show what they will for then on after.

thanks guys. I have seen so much feedback both good and bad. The common theme is that it takes weeks for a response from them when signing up. Was this your experience?

It was good for a long time until now... revenue has dropped big time!!

Same traffic and pageviews... average same amount of clicks but lower CPC... :(

May be due to everyone flocking to YPN.

Why is it hard to get an account and is there anything I can do to increase my chances of being selected for YPN?

My YPN revenue has dropped terribly with the same amount of traffic and clicks. I finally decided to switch everything over to Adsense, which now I'm getting decent revenue (not as much as YPN last year) and the ads are much better targeted. YPN has always had issues with ad targeting on some of my sites. I think it is due to having less advertisers in their network so they have to target what they can, but it still needs a lot of work.

Hmmm, the feedback seems to be mixed. Some good and some bad.. what's your take on this? While looking at my traffic logs, I saw YPN had looked at my site but no email rec'd from them today..

    http://qkrpt.com/PN_Invite/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/PN_Invite/InviteReview.aspx

This is where they came from. I'm thinking this is the form they use to invite people to the network but that's just a guess. Or it's just inviting them to review www.FreeLandlordSoftware.com from my initial request to join YPN.

    What do you think?
