Any reason why you use the "nofollow" attribute on your listings?

why shouldn't I? i am not charging like yours. perhaps, i will start charging and get rid of the nofollow attribute. but i cannot call it's free anymore :)

btw, it still give more exposure because it's a small niche, and traffic came to the directory always looking for answer of thier money mind ;)

It's a nice directory and personally I feel the nofollow links degrade the overall quality and appeal. I's likely there would be more interest if the links did not have nofollow. ;)

    Hi,

Thanks for your comments on my directory.
I have removed the nofollow attribute for 'not free listing'.

Featured Links: $15 for one year listing
Regular Links : $3 (permanent listing)
Regular Links with reciprocal : FREE

    Thanks!

But how does anyone no you will not put them back there later ... maybe its not worth the effort submitting links. If you use nofollow you should be upfront about it, otherwise you lose credibility with DP members.

I don't dare to put the nofollow atribute if i'm charging!

Nevermind... may be you are right.. I's not worthy to submit link in the directory. I already lost my crediblity in this forum. No use to promote it anymore.

At first, I setup this directory was to give exposure and traffics to only certain type of sites (yes, it need long time). That was why I select a niche. Not my intention to sell links or to increase other site's PR. That was also the reason I didn't mention my directory's PR. So, I thought it have nothing to do with nofollow atribute.

But now, I have to follow the stream.. sell links.

    Up to you.

    sigh! :(

Just a suggestion - many submitters will be reluctant to submit a paid listing when the existing listings are nofollowed - you might want to consider removing the nofollow from the existing listings. Good luck with your directory.

You need to check your site using Firefox.
The directory part on the home page is way over to the right.

what difference (to you) does it make if the links have no-follow or not?

you get a lot more sites submitted if you remove the no-follow and keep it free.
