$75 Logo Contest (up to $200 in bonus work for winner)

This logo is for my company, Volare Media Group, Inc.

Payout: $75
Contest Ends: 1/24/07 (just under a week)
Requirements:
1. Volare is the key word here and should be bigger than Media Group, Inc. (if included in the design). Volare means "to fly" in Italian, and as you can see from my temporary website http://www.volaremedia.com/ that I am fond of hawks. Therefore, if your design incorporates a bird (or part of a bird) it should be a hawk rather than an eagle or something else. Also, notice that the hawk on my site is "soaring" rather than swooping or attacking and that the focus is on the wings/pattern/feathers rather than the talons or beak.

2. Colors: I'm open, but would suggest any combination of black, the shades of brown/tan/red seen in "red tail hawks", and/or deep/sky blues.

3. A combination of creativity, originality, and professionalism is what I'm looking for.

4. PLEASE WATERMARK ALL SUBMISSIONS! Protect your work.

Bonus: The winner will get first dibs on 4 additional logos @ $50 each, along with any other future design work I need done.

I am interested in doing this, but you haven’t really given us enough information to work with…. What should the size of the logo be? Do want text included? Do you prefer a certain color for your background? The reason why I’m asking this is because if you put it on your website you might want it to blend in with the background… and since your website isn’t done yet, it’s hard for us to see what color will blend in.
So, you want a picture of a bird included right? Is there any certain pictures you prefer? How many birds do you want in the design?

I'd prefer it to be vector so that it is scalable and not an issue. However, if you can't do vector, then the bigger the better. I don't plan on making any posters with it, but it should be atleast 500-600px wide incase I ever wanted to make a T-Shirt or something.

Emphasize "Volare" and make "Media Group, Inc." subtext. No slogans.

Again, optimally it should be able to work with any background. However, my guess would be either white, black, gray or blue.

No, preferably it would be an illustration.

Actually, it doesn't even require 1 bird. It could incorporate something like a wing or even have nothing to do with a bird at all. I don't want to hold back on creativity.

So far I'm liking the bottom one from xpressions the best. It is simple, yet creative, and VERY professional. Well done!

 

SNiiP3R, these are decent, but the birds look like stock images and I'm not feeling the aqua blue.

 

jinsona, so far this is my second favorite submission next to xpressions. while i really like the wings, i think they are a little over aggressive for what i'm looking for. this is a really good job though. nice work.

 

sandeepramje, these would be good logos for a college sports team, but they aren't really what i'm looking for.
