I also do not see any changes for my sites even I did a significant change on one of them. PageRank is still same.

PageRank won't significantly change if you make changes WITHIN your site, (unless you cardinnaly change structure of your site - this may cause slight changes of PageRank within your site) - PageRank is changing as quantity (and quality) of backquard links increases or decreases.

Why is everyone so concened about the PR update? I would much rather see a nice boost in traffic than what happens with the green toolbar.

Because higher PR means more money for sites selling links, makes it easier to get GOOD link exchange partners, and increases a sites percieved value if you are going to sell it. And yes a nice traffic boost would be great as well but from looking around the forum many webmasters have suddenly lost 50 - 80% of their sites google traffic from this update as well.

Maybe that site isn't going to change PR. The PR push is definitely well under way so looks like you may just be unlucky.

And so would most commercially aware operators as the ROI on traffic is greater than the ROI on PR as without traffic no one will buy from you irrespective of the PR

Traffic is convertable and will show a profitable ROI

Well, I completely deleted all files there and uploaded new ones. Different names, different structure. And no change to PageRank. I think if PageRank update was done it would make a difference (bad or good but it would do something, I guess)

Also on http://www.seocompany.ca/pagerank/page-rank-update-list.html there is no mentioning that PageRank was done and it's predicted to be 28th of January.

I think they are done for all practical purposes. Maybe a few dc fluctations. But if your site is pr zero and you didn't get any thing on any datacenter, you are not going to, IMO. Sad for me and probably some others.
