Was your homepage supplemental when the snapshot was taken? Wasn't there a problem not to long ago where G was listing all pages of a site except the homepage? I know that they fixed it, but if they used the same snapshot for this update as when that was happening, then yeah, that would be expected.

I'm not saying it would be right of them to use any data from that time period, mind you... just that the results wouldn't be out of the ordinary if they did.

Maybe someone could track down the posts of all of those webmasters bitching about the site: command not showing their homepage (here, WMW, etc) and we could pin a date on this.

Well I am sure the update is not completly over cause I have a site that is showing PR5 in all Google DC's but yet still shows PR0 in the toolbar as the data has not been exported yet......so if it is over are you saying that Google got lazy and only did some sites PR export half way......

Some people are saying that this was only a partial update and hence only new sites and inner pages got PR updates. Because of this they are saying there should be a full update in 2-3 months .....

Well.... that's what I gather anyway

When G started this update, about 20% of the DC's were never updated from the last one, so, yeah, you will still see fluctuations from DC to DC even though the update is done. Even if G did update the rest of the DC's, you wouldn't see any new PR till the next update.

Which, who knows, could be a few days from now... although that is highly unlikely. Does happen though, last time was with the Jagger update, two updates back to back.

Ok well it its just the inner pages and new sites that got updates then how is it my sites inner pages and my 2 new sites did not get a toolbar update but yet show good PR when checking the datacenters? Hopefully either the update is not yet finished or it is a two part update with the rest of the update coming soon as this is a very strange indeed I have never had sites show PR in the Google DC's yet show absolutly nothing in the toolbar.......

Yeah, it has been a very strange update ... again reading the forums, people are saying that Google once again has screwed things up and that the partial update did not go as planned.

No one knows for sure what the true story is. But I don't think anyone has reported any true changes for a couple of days now so it looks as so this update has ended ... It's up to the Google gods to tell us when they are going to do the next "correct" PR update .... either a couple of days/weeks/ or months ....

I'm not an expert on PR updates, I'm just reitterating what I have seen other people writing ....

It looks like most of the updates were on blog sites, I have one go from 0 to 3 with only 7 backlinks

Yes it has been strange I left a little question about this on Matt Cutts blog so hopefully when he gets back from his vacation and starts blogging again he can give an answer as to what has been going on. I am going to check it once a day and will let you all know if I get a response back.

Use validation tools to check linking and syntax, check and double check your robots.txt and .htaccess files - maybe there's some problem or mistake. Try to monitor visits of googlebot - does it normally reads your main page or not? To be brief - check all variants that pop in your mind.
