Hello all

I am a programmer but new to SEO. I want to know, If I want my site to be appeared in google listing with serarch keyword "webdesign in surat", what should i do?

are forum signatures links useful?

Plz advice.

 

have search google and found that this keyword is not very competitive yet (return just135,000 resultS) to rank on first page, simply have the keyword inside the TITLE tag in your index page and may be one H1 tag with the keyword.

Forum signatures do help in their own small way

 

1) Use the keyword that you are targetting in title for 2 times
2) use that keyword in description
3) use the keyword in heading tags
4) Build links on with that targetted keyword
5) Directory submisison
6) Put 7% density of that keyword on page

And you'll be top within 2 weeks

The first thing is to find out how many people are using that keyword phrase to find websites in search engines.
Remember - there's no point in being number one for a keyword phrase if hardly anyone searches for it!
Use the Overture Keyword Tool
(http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/)
and type in things like 'surat' and 'surat web' and 'surat design' to find out what else your potential customers actually search for.
My own feeling is that you won't be targeting enough people with 'Surat'.
Why don't you go for something more along the lines of Web Design India and have a longer term strategy to make that happen?

 

I am suprised that ya'll are asking everyone to do it for you... there is likely more U need to do than you will EVER get from a forum and I dare say having forums members create a SEO program in it's entirety may not be the way to go either...

Have you done the due diligence on the term (formal KW research) Because THAT is truly the first step in ANY SEO campaign

After that there is far more than anyone can put here;

1. On-Page optimization
2. Link Profile Development

Those are the major tasks... but breaking them down in a single thread just ain't gonna happen.... IMHO at least

Perform on-page optimization (unique titles, proper header tags etc) and follow-up with link building / baiting strategy will ensure you with a high ranking

 

- Optimize it and use it as a keyword. Put your keyword on your Title tag, Description, and anchor text if your doing off-page optimization.
- Yes, they can also be counted as backlinks.

 

Also you could write some articles for more links back to the relevant page and drop in the keyword/s as anchor text within the article a few times where that is allowed, some article directories allow it but some dont.

 

Create blog for your site and post your article there. Then submit your blog to blog directories.
