Adbrite?

Is it worth it to use? Anyone has any experience with them? Really would like to hear what you think of them. Im considering buying some ads .

 

I have not tried adbrite myself, but it is lead by the guy behind fuckedcompany.com

I would imagine the service has some merit for him to jump the fence and accept venture capital for such a project; I assume the last thing he wants is for adbrite to end up on the frontpage on his old site...

Adbrite is really cheap...and its mainly on alot of media sites etc. Their revenue is under 1mil/year (last time i checked..) and most of their clicks (I would say) are crap clicks. Unless you buy from each site individually...but most sites just tell their users to click ot make them $. Then again people do that with all program... anyway

What are you advertising?
Your approximate budget?
What are you paying per click?

If its not personal, let me know (at least what your advertising) and I can give you a better answer

 

I tried selling ringtones on some sites. I didn't use network ones, i just used the sites i think will convert... didn'T do good for me. Also you need to watch out for reccuring ads. I lost some money with this option too. Bastards...

 

They are ok, but you are probably better of with Adwords or something.

 

adbrite.com is very trustly company. I recieve more than check.

 

I'd recommend them, I make a bit from them each month.

 

I have to agree with others, I have received many checks from adbright. I even used them now and then to advertise.

One drawback, but very well explained on their site, they have a 90 delay in payments. So a month's income, will not be issued till 90's has past. So you can be waiting for a while for a check. But once it starts, everything moves smoothly.

AdBrite... I did not like it... I did not feel its worth to look at..

 

Im not looking at adbrite as a publisher point of view but more as a advertiser. Lets say im after some more cheap anchor text links, would adbrite then be a good option? Plenty of pusblishers on adbrite with lots of content (themed) pages to choose from.

 

adbrite is a alternative to adsense. it is not good as to adsense. but they paid...

 

i giving it a go now. My catagory has only a few listings

 

Good, even a small time operator like myself uses adbrite for both advertising and revenue generation.

BTW, they changed to a 60 day delay in payments.

It seems like they pay, somewhat. Does anyone have some stats they wish to share that will give an idea of what to expect?

 

As for paypal question, don't know. I've recieved checks on a regular basis.

As for stats, I don't want to give specifics, because my results might be misleading. First adbrite is only a ppc revenue generator when people haven't specificly purchased ads on your site. Also, you can set it such that unless someone has purchased ads, you show no ads. So you see how CTR's and EPC can be askewed?

Well to toss a wrench in my stats, I've been experimenting ever since I started, which has made none of my stats consistant.

So this is what I would do as a publisher. Setup an account, put the link on your site for advertisting on it via adbright, and show no ads. The ads aren't content based, so they tend to look 'off'. Remember you link on your site really won't be the traffic to purchased ad revenue, adbrights site seems to always been customers starting point, finding my sites in the catalog. Therefore you can even not use the "advertise here" link, but put up the code to automaticly display paid ads.

Yeah, I been with adbrite for 2 campaigns and the ROI wasn't very fruitful. One one occasion I poured money into CPC and the next I went for network. They both performed dismally. Looking into TLA next.

 

I signed up with AdBrite but quickly decided not to go forward with the program due to possible conflict with Google Adsense's TOS. The guy from AdBrite has called me several times to convince me to put their ads on www.articleworld.net

 

First, I would suggest how you believe it might be a conflict of G's TOS.
