    my new site I am building (started it November 5) went from 0 to 6! I am very pleased, but I have worked my a** off for backlinks.

    Now if I could get a little traffic, that would be nice.

    Why are my internal pages getting a higher PR than the main index page ? The one with links pointing to it ? Also the main page has had no PR update it is the same as it was 2 weeks ago.

    I really don't care as long as google keeps me ranked high for my terms just wondering if there was a explanation !

    May be they started to update visible pr from inner pages. It is better to wait until the update progresses before commenting..

    Google doesn't display backlinks immediately or display all of the backlinks it know about. Check your backlinks in MSN and Yahoo and it'll show the ones that exist.

    That looks like a possibility, or it might be the same screwed up type of update like they had last year. PR does occasionally get screwed up, and displays a wrong value, but the pages don't actually have the weight they are displaying in those cases.

    One of my inner pages on a new site gets a PR3, yet the home page is still a PR0. :p More waiting I guess.

    Same and honestly, it is driving me nuts lol. MotoringReport has three pages that rarely, if ever, get visited, yet my pages that are visited daily (from google, links people have posted in forums..etc, digg..etc) are still 0:(

    I am not sure why or what is going on exactly, but it is aggravating to say the least lol.

    Not yet. In fact, my newest site shows no changes either.

    I am tracking about 12 sites and have noticed no changes whatsoever. Strange.

    Is anyone seeing messed up results with backlinks? I started off with 430, now google says I only have 40. But, when I look in MSN and Yahoo, I have between 500 and 3500? In some other search engines, I see even more. I don't get it?

    Your results will not match across SE's - and as mentioned previously, Google does not display all of the known backlinks.

    CReed, yes I understand that not all my links showing in Yahoo will be in Google. But, should it have gone from 430 backlinks in Google to 40? I think what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't make sense because when I received 430 backlinks last update I had 1,000 showing in Yahoo. And lately, I have been linkbuilding a lot. So, it just doesn't make sense now that I have over 3,500 links in Yahoo, but they went down to 40 in Google. I would think if I increased my links in Yahoo since the last update, they would increase in Google as well, not go WAY down.
