    didnt even realise one was going on now. checked some of the pages on my site though and so far nothing is happening. I hope the update hasnt been and gone already.

    A rather interesting move might be removing public PR rating completely .
    No PR .At all. Just SERPs .
    Just imagine the benefits to the users and the improvement of the integrity of the search results ..

    How is PR disadvantaging users and the integrity of search results?

    PR is based purely on the backlinks and factors relating to the backlink including PR of the page linking and outbound links.

    SERP are partly based on backlinks and factors including outbound links, relevancy of pages linking, what your page is about etc.

    You can have a page with articles about gambling and have backlinks from high PR sites with the anchor text about "childrens charities" or something unrelated. You'll get a high PR, but you won't get high SERP. Not unless you get a ridiculously massive amount of links, such as the "failure" which goes to the whitehouse page - which by the way has PR9 :)

    Like I said, that's how I see it and it would be interesting to know who agrees or who disagrees and why
