WordPress Newbie Here Needing Advice.

    I am new to blogs I can remember years ago installing a wordpress blog from cpanel but didn't really do anything with it. Now I have a domain that I would like develop into a blog and I hear that wordpress is the best. Can someone tell me what are the best mods etc to use for seo on a wordpress blog? Also can someone point me to the best site for free themes & mods etc.

    Help appreciated.

    Hi,

    Google Site Maps     is helpful, in conjunction with Google's sitemap tool.

    You may also want to try out the Ad Sectioning plugin .

    Defining a good permalink also helps. I use /%category%/%postname%/

    Last three aren't strictly seo but they are very useful.

    optimal_title.php puts the post title before the blog title.. in the, uhhhmmm... title :) google that i'm too lazy to grab a link.
