Social Networking site Marketing

I started my social networking site about a month ago for a specific country. Here are few steps I took and so far :

1) Created few fake profiles and make sure site is bug free.

2) Put adwords ads on generic ad and put ad on related sites

3) Place banners on sites which I own.

4) Register myself on myspace and joined on groups related to that country and post topic on forum.

5) register on related websites forum and post topic(with my site on signature)

I am yet to submit site on all related sites and do a PR release.

what else I can do?

 

Sounds like you got alot of stuff down. Have you submitted your website to top directories (dmoz, gimpsy, etc)?

You could send a press release to computer magazines and computer TV shows in your country. They might write a review of your site or invite you to give them an interview.

 

hmmm u pretty much got everythin done, but i agree wid bomb25's suggestion completely, u need to get ur self listed in a few directories cuz d logic remains d same, no matter wat business u do, to promote it u need to have ur name in d business directory... best of luck man.

Any idea how can we make users to get involved more

 

I don't like the idea for creating fake profile from start, you should have atleast 10 friends that can refer others.. and so on you can have good number of social networkers.

 

without these users no one would join, now I'm getting 20+ users a day. so I think that was ok

 

20 Plus users is a big thing to start with.

One idea, may sound funny but works. Create an interesting profile of a woman with some pics, lot of men will be attracted.

goodman I got it not sure what u can provide I need a specific plan and pricing. also I dont have resources I need someone to do it for me.

I started creating username on all big social networking site and trying to join all groups and adding few friends. I think I would have better success if I do create hot girl profile and then add guys and hot guy profile and add friends.

 

It is very important to have your website keyword optimized for the keywords that you are trying to "attack" on the market and I would also recommend that you start building some content based on those keywords while also submitting your website to top directories in order to generate a bit of initial traffic and page rank.
