    Hey,

I want to optimize my picture gallery... (both SEO and speed)

Right now I'm using Gallery Menalto..

I don't use most of their features. I just want a gallery to create thumbnail for my photos, put them in folders based on their album, and link each thumbnail to it's high resolution correspondent and of course i can integrate it into my website easily...

What are your suggestions for other softwares? or perhaps scrips?

    Thanks
    Nima

Do you need PHP or ASP/ASP.NET scripts?
What is your hosting based on? Linux or Windows?

ASP and ASP.NET are the technologies running on Windows.

PHP is what you need, so search for "free PHP scripts" for photo gallery or picture gallery

The Gallery Menalto is indeed one of the best, but the problem is that I don't use most of (almost all) of its features. I just want a simple picture gallery.

I think that would be more search engine friendly, take less CPU and space, and run faster...

just shut most of it off, and rework the templates a bit if needed.

I may be a resource hog, I don't know, but I do know I have versions running with almost no features beyond basic gallery behavior.
