Here's another one that actually tells you how many submissions are before yours and how long you can expect to wait.

Currently, there are quite a number of seemingly nice Blog search engines. I have a few listed on my blog along the right side.

Blogwise approved me in less than 1/2 an hour and sorts the lists by Keywords. It's great!

Deviating slightly from topic, I know... but what the hell use are blogs? (This is a genuine question... as a web technology I simply don't "get" them... might be an age thing... I don't understand texting friends in different night clubs either :) ... What is the appeal of blogs, and how can I exploit and use it?)

It has the same purpose of a log. It is a record of an opinion or facts at a specifict point in time. The are very good for disseminating information or entertaining a mass of people. Google eats them up because they are based on a very well known XML data stream (Atom).

Blogs themselves are not at all based on ATOM. One option of most blogs is to offer the content in what is called a feed. Feeds are available in many formats, the two most common being ATOM and RSS, both of which are based on XML.

Not all blogs offer feeds, and they are eaten up by Google just as easily as those that do, as long as they have been submitted to the major blog aggregators (technorati, bloglines, etc...)

So you are saying that Google sucks up html pages as quickly as blogs?

Choose your words carefully, I'm going to call you on them.

It's good to know I was not the only one who 'didn't get it'. Since 'getting it', I've set up three blogs and they have allowed me to generate relevant links to my main websites which has increased the main sites rankings considerably. I just need to be more active in my blogs. Hard to do when you're as lazy as I am :)
