This is the first case of web site gazumping I have seen, which is great as I always did like the word gazumped. T0PS you'd of lost any way as I was going to offer 210 after it had closed

 

Its the first Gazump but we did have a "Backwards bid" last month. Someone started changing the bids downwards as the auction was about to end.

Yes but this time for the wrong reason..... this scammer, web junkie has worn out his welcome on other forums and should be banned from Digital Point.

 

He just shoots himself in the foot. If he just mentioned a closing time/date then he would have had a way higher sales price plus happy customers.

Anyone buying from anyone should check out the seller's history IMO so they'll find out quick enough....

 

Theres more to it than that TOPS He made an agreement in writing as far as I can see.

I like that this forum doesn't ban people for these kinds of things. Instead it lets them show their true colors.

The red rep is a warning about someone who only sells. Honey knew that and still bid. If it was a newbie, someone would have probably jumped in.

Honey has actually taken it better than I expected. I would have been furious.

Yeah dct read it how I meant it. Just wanted to see whether he'd overrule his second confirmed sale for a higher one.

 

I know my bid was and from what I know of T0PS I expect the same, but like you say it is difficult to tell.

 

How about he just gets banned from buy sell - or change his usertitle to "dont buy from me" - Give him a chance to redeem

The problem is he gives DP a bad name with stunts like this.....one thing I liked about DP when I first came across it was the lack of egos and the fact that everyone could be trusted. That has held up until now with only a couple of instances where people got a little out of hand, this guy takes it to a new level and to make it worse seems to think it is a joke.
His whole manner suggests "stuff everyone".

 

I like though that members aren't afraid to call him out. I do get your point Cyclops, however he will most likely end up not posting his stuff for sale anymore as he won't get a decent price for anything.

I would have bid on some of his stuff but I know his reputation. I imagine others are also the same way.

I think its the fee structure of SitePoint that sent him back selling here but he might be better off there where there aren't as many dissatisfied customers.

sheesh, i'd like to say i'm suprised, but i'm not really.....just everyone be careful of course with his offers.

 

ops. It was me that bought this site. I dident realize the fuzz this would make, I only saw that the seller dident get contact with the buyer, and therfore I sent a PM asking to buy it for $150.

I am sorry for that, but i thinked this was ok to do, I promice to be more carefull in the future, and i hope that i am not put to shame form this.
