Google Directory - 100% DMOZ?

    To what extent does the Google directory rely upon DMOZ?

    1. Is the Google directory a 100% clone of the DMOZ directory?
    If not -
    2. Are all DMOZ sites included in the Google directory?
    3. Are there any sites in the Google directory that are NOT in DMOZ? If so, how did they get there?

    I was under the impression that G just added the PR graphic and the rest was DMOZ data, but feel free to correct me on this. :)

    As far as I know, exam is correct: It's just a slightly reformatted DMOZ clone with irregular updates of the DMOZ data feed.

    yup, I agree. Google Directory is better version of DMOZ. It does not ever say Server is busy.

    I think Google is about to make some change based on how much they will validate DMOZ results in the future.

    Yes. What if anything is this based on? And what does "validate DMOZ results" mean?
