    Design: unique, created by me (could look fancier, but I focused on..)
    ..Ads optimization: Google ads (good CTR/placement), CPM ads (interested visitors will bring many page views)

    How unique is the content? I know you wrote it yourself, but did you "rewrite" it all? For instance the dinosaur species listing pages, there is a lot of data there. Where did it all come from? What site did you reference?

    What does the site run on? Is it a CMS?

    It's PHP. No database involved. PHP and Apache with mod_rewrite are the only requirements.
