Outboud Links - Redirects instead?

Hi, on my site I am going to be having a few links to other sites and I've read that's bad for PR.
So, would it be best to have links like this: www.mysite.com/redir/?=45
    Insite links, rather than outbounds?

    Thanks

I would just stay away from sitewide outbound links.

Sure you will lose a minimal amount of PR to outbound links. To me the PR debate on outbound links is pretty pointless. The real question is "How will outbound links effect my rankings?". I Can’t say definitively but from experience it does appear that quality outbound links POSITIVELY effect your rankings.

It is speculated that all authority sites have a ton of quality outbounds. If you want to become your industries authority I would not recommend hording links.

    Hi ,
I learned recently ( and agree exactly what minnseoelite says ) that outbound links to the right sites get you in a better "neighborhood" and carried out an experiment with outbound links to quality , valued sites in my country.

I havent seen an update in the "Similar Pages" in Google but i wouldnt worry too much about PR leak and outbound links if you dont have too many outbounds (I have less than 15.. on my site..)

Yes, you can use the above to link to uncertain site... but why take the risk ;)
Only link to sites that you are certain they are of good nature.

Also if your potential link partners see that you are using the nofollow tag to horde page rank they probably will not want to exchange links with you, same thing with using redirects (unless you are a gaming or myspace site as they mostly exchange for traffic) After all would you want to exchange links with a site you knew was going to be of no benifit to your site in the end?
