What else????

    Most directories provide theme static links which you may or may not get traffic from depending on the directory.

    What else would you like to see from a directory???? I'm looking to hear some out of the box ideas and NOT PR, free links or stuff like that.

    What would you like to see????

    * Intelligent sections
    * How about a directory of sites that do NOT sell things? it would cut 99% of the spam...!
    * Speed of loading
    * Speed of searching
    * Community involvement if possible to build it up quickly

    Exactly, OWG.

    I think there are probably enough DMOZ clones by now.

    Some good info on the topics that people are searching for. We are adding state pages like this one and it brings life to the site.

    Thanks :) here is a directory I came accross the other day which I liked a lot. Anything to keep people on your site. If all they see is links, they are more likely to leave and not come back than if they see a multitude of other resources which spark their interest.

    I want directory owners to start a thread and everyone that types CMI gets all the links in his/her sig submitted without having to go through the submission themselves. :)

    Am I asking too much?? ;)

    In any case CMI!

    You could always go like Yahoo and have everything on your site. Although, I'm finding them somewhat sluggish at the moment, on a 2.0 Mbps connection as well.
