Too bad, from all the Co-op FAQ traffic I haven't earned a penny yet. My personal blog has been doing better with far less uniques and hits.

Hope to get at least one this month.
It will happen sooner rather than later I guess.
Now would be great ofcourse but you know, I'm fine without the AdSense revenue.
Tweaking it a bit might help.

    Just that one... ...so cool...

    :)

    Only Joe King of course.

It's been so long, I had to go back and look. I made almost $50 the first month (jan03). I'm getting close to making that in one day and that's still just from one website. I'm going to try branching out and see what that brings. Only one way to find out.

Awesome input guys!! I seriously appreciate it.

I'll be checking out all these recommendations and we'll see what next month looks like ;)

    I forgot to mention:
My best day - $5.76 (only got like 11 clicks that day!!)

[I also started the ebay affiliate at the same time - up to $50 so for - I know I know - not adsense, but it runs in tandem for placement, focus call to action etc. - and YES Iknow Shawn makes like a BAZILLION $$$ a month from ebay, but I'm workin' on it ;) ]

Yeah, I left off the decimal in my post for some reason.. Duh... Anyway, I tried that Start -> Programs thing and could not come up with anything... Just kidding.. I use a Mac. Anyway, I keep a dollar store calculator right in front of my monitor because by the time I click start/run, or open up the HD, I might as well just use the real thing :)

Well then how come your 'motto' is "Build it and they will come." since that clearly is THE OPPOSITE of what SEO and Marketing is all about?

you would have to tell me
    1) what is SEO and Marketing all about?
    2) what you mean by "how come your motto is.."

Not sure I want to explain then. Anyway:

    1) They're all about making sure the outside world knows about your site.
    2) Let me re-phrase "How did you make it to that AdSense income if you have a tactic that clearly is inappropriate?".

If you build it, you can sit and wait for ever. You have to go get the punters to your site. That's what I meant.

    1) OK
    2) In which case my motto should be:

Build it (give it a nudge) and they will come...

CASE STUDY (my latest site which I will call "SITE B")
    1) I made Site B.
    2) I linked to Site B from my other site (Site A, which got 50,000 hits a day)
    3) I waited.

Now in this case I did not have to wait long.. after 1 day the hits to Site B were around 140,000 and on the 2nd day they were 340,000 they now average around 200,000 a day.

    EH? 50k IN 200K OUT?
The link from Site A (the 50k a day site) is ONLY to give Site B a bump start.
Once Site B has had around 100,000 hits people tend to do their thing (post it on forums, send it in emails, add it to their blogs) I did not have to do anything other than the initial link from Site A to B

    AND THEN...
Well now Site B is getting 200k hits a day I link BACK to Site A so it is not getting 50,000 hits a day it is getting 100,000 and the next site I build I can point to it from both and give it an even bigger "nudge".

It only works for me cos the sites I make are viral or have a strong community, seems that for every X number of visitors I get Y number of links (in forums / blogs / emails) so it just grows.

These sites can not sustain this level of earnings (I don't think) so it is up to me to keep making them and linking them all to each other.

Well thats what worked in this case. My next site I am working on is more community based and will prob get 10,000 hits a day, but will have a nice bunch of people on it I can have fun admining.

    Questions? :D

    Critters 50,000! - 200,000!!

Oh lord - my other post about worrying about my drastic increase in traffic (250 - 1000) effecting adsense is looking pretty silly now :(

    I think I'l go crawl under a rock :(

Forums can be grat sources or revnue if you can get people to post in them. I ran a couple forum sites and earned about $50 a day with them mostly though linking and banners and affiliate programs. its a amazing how much people will pay to put their banners up. Adsense doesn't work too well with forums. The max I ever got was $20/day with adsense on a forum site.

    LOL
took several months to get the 50,000 to my first site
I did not market it anywhere, was only cos a visitor posted it on collegehumour.com that it shot up... after that first posting it was on bored.com / i-am-bored.com / boredatwork.com and went into silly figures. It was only after that I thought "hmmm lets put ads on this"

I can only dream of the dizzy heights of 250 a day :D

Not much call for "Nepalese Cummulative Converible Preferred Stock" searches.

$13 - most of which I owe to Critters (cheques in the mail, old son!)
