What is a 3-way link exchange ?

I have seen this term 3-way link exchange bein used quite often across forums.

- I was wondering what is this 3 way link exchange?
- How is better than 2-way link exchange?

2 way it a direct link with you and your linking partner

3 way involves 3 sites. You link to someone's site, then they link back to you with another site. This is meant to increase the worth of the link as 2 way links tend to have less value.

 

I agree...in three way link it's like ABC...3 sites are involves...A will link to B, B will link to C...it will look like one-way link...

A links to B , B links to C and then C links to A ?

How is it better than a 2 way link?

What if there is something like

A links to B , B links to A and C, C links to A

Is this also 3-way linking.

No, the best link are ones where there is not a reciprocal link between 2 site. In other word, no direct connections implying a link trade between 2 sites.

 

Recips is a dirty word.

You want one-way links. A 3-way link trade helps to accomplish this. It takes 3 sites, so either you or your trading partner must have 2 sites.

Let's say you own Widgets.x and I own Machines.x and I also own Products.x.

A trade scenario might be this:

1. You link to Machines.x from your Widgets.x
2. I'll link to Widgets.x from Products.x

Done.

Your Widgets.x just got a new one-way link and so did my Machines.x. The Products.x site was just there to make the trade possible. It could have been owned by you or me.

 

Actually, it's not like that guys. Let's say you have 2 site. AAA.com and BBB.com You want one way links for AAA.com so you contact CCC.com to link to AAA.com and in exchange you will link to CCC.com from BBB.com. AAA.com does not need to put up any outbound link. That's how a three way link exchange works.

 

That's a version when Person A and Person B only own one site each.

However, if person A or B owns at least two sites, the way I mentioned is the way to go.

Hell, it's hard enough getting two people to agree. Don't bring in more people than you have to.

 

OK guys, that clears up one concept. Basically, 1-way links to my website will be the best.

reciprocal linking doesnt help much because google BOTs are probably smarter now.

3-way link exchange is great idea for promote you site.
in 2-way link exchange your site & other site that you want to link exchange .
its simple way but your site have link of that site it i not a good work.
but 3-way link exchange your site ,your blog & that site.in way your main site
only back link .no link to that site.

 

Some 2way links can be made, just make sure you have a good number of 1 & 3way links also.

b) deeplinks
will do your site good, just don't have them as the majority of your links.
A 'natural' link profile would include some reciprocal links - between people who know and trust each other, for instance. So there is no issue at all with that. But reciprocal linking (or even three way linking) as the basis of your link building is going to look suspect.

 

3-way link exchange is good idea to promote your site, back link.

 

Example:
Three sites involved in these method.
Site A would like to put his link to Site B then Site B would be linked to Site C

I am having a dog related (PR5 ) and cat related (PR 0) sites . You are having horse related site (PR 4). Your horse site will be provided with a link from my dog related site and you will place my cat related link in your horse site.

By this way both of us will get benefitted to build strong Back link. (Symbiosis).

 

No it will be A links to B , B links to C

Mind C is ur site . This way both A and B have got one way linking.
One way linking is always a preffered one.
